Necessity is the mother of invention.

My passion, to change how we welcome babies into the world, began with the births of my two sons. One was whisked away to the nursery right after delivery, and the other was placed at my breast minutes after he was born. Years later, when I became a postpartum doula and the importance of skin-to-skin was in the ‘news’, it was clear to me that what was needed was a way for babies and mothers to start out life connected, skin-to-skin and heart-to-heart.

Encouraged by my background in the apparel industry, I sketched, sewed and tested dozens of 'bad' carriers, before I settled on the current design. In 2014 received my first US utility patent, and went to Rwanda as the guest of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to attend the Kangaroo Mother Care Product Forum.

Since then, I've been busy making sure that every carrier is made with love in San Francisco, and that every mother who receives one receives my personal care and attention.

If you have any questions, please contact me... and happy nesting!
