I'm so excited to share this with you! I've been working feverishly to put the finishing touches on my new feet out carrier. Making the variations to the original design has been a labor of love. It is hard to explain to someone the intricacies of creating something simple...like two slits in the side of the body of the carrier so a baby's feet can extend out.
You have to see it in your imagination before you can birth it into the world, and for over a year I was seeing it, but executing it remained a challenge. The devil is in the details.
Tiny newborns, still folded like a bud, can still be fully enclosed in the body of the carrier I call 'the nest'. Only when they bloom are they ready to open their little legs, like the petals of a flower, and wrap them around Mama's warm body. Blooming babies -- doesn't that sound sweet - or is it, let baby bloom?
I choose a flower for our logo because it symbolized so much to me. If you look at it carefully, you'll see that nestled between the two leaves is a tiny bud.
It is really about the blooming relationship between mother and child! I often think, I make baby carriers, but my real purpose - what wakes me up every morning - is fostering the connection between her and her newborn.
That is what makes me bloom. Blooming just got better!
